Works where you already watch.

HalalFlix runs in your own browser, on your own account. It doesn't edit, copy or download anything; it simply skips ahead in your player when a tagged scene begins.

Checked by people, growing every week

On Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV+, skips come from timestamps tagged by human reviewers. Nothing on your screen is recorded.

Title not covered yet? Ask for it

Signed in and watching something we haven't reviewed? Choose "Analyse this title" and our server checks it just ahead of you while you watch, then saves the skips for everyone.

Extra help on YouTube and Plex

An optional AI filter can check videos nobody has tagged yet, and what it finds is shared so the next family is covered too.

Missed a scene?

Coverage is growing, not complete. Report a missed scene and we'll review it.

Family movie night, without the remote.

Questions? Here are the answers.

Do you edit or download Netflix videos?

No. HalalFlix never edits, copies, downloads or re-hosts any video. It only skips ahead in your own player, on your own account, when a tagged scene begins, just as if you'd pressed fast-forward yourself.

Is it guaranteed to catch everything?

No, and we'd rather be honest about that. Coverage is growing every week, but some titles aren't reviewed yet and tags can be missed. If something slips through, you can report the missed scene and our reviewers will check it. For young children, we still suggest watching together.

What data do you collect?

As little as we can. To find skips, the extension sends the ID of the video you're watching (and sometimes its title) to our server. If you sign in with Google (needed only to save or report scenes, or to ask for a title to be analysed), we get your name and email address. If you ask for a title to be analysed, we also receive the title, your account details and your playback position while the analysis runs. On Netflix and other protected services, nothing on your screen is captured. If you turn on the optional AI filter on YouTube or Plex, some video frames are sent to our AI provider for checking. We never sell your data. The full details are in our privacy policy.

What happens when I ask for a title to be analysed?

On Netflix, Prime Video and Apple TV+, if a title doesn't have HalalFlix skips yet and you're signed in, you can choose "Analyse this title". You check the title and episode, then press play as normal.

Our server works through the title a little ahead of you. To keep it ahead, your extension tells the server where you are in the video every few seconds. If it falls behind, HalalFlix may pause briefly until it catches up, or you can choose "Watch anyway" to carry on without waiting.

The skips it finds are saved, so every family who watches that title afterwards gets them straight away. Nothing is captured from your screen. We receive the title, your account details and your playback position; see the privacy policy for details.

Can my kids turn it off?

Not yet locked. Right now anyone using the browser can change the categories, or switch the extension off from the browser's extensions page. A parent lock is on our roadmap. Until then, we suggest giving children their own browser profile managed with your family's parental controls, and watching together where you can.

Is it free?

Yes. HalalFlix is free to install and use. If we add optional paid extras in the future, we'll say so clearly first, and you'll never be charged unless you choose to sign up.

Which browsers and devices does it work on?

Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge on a computer (Windows, Mac or Chromebook). It doesn't work in phone or TV apps, because those don't support browser extensions.
